Beachminton is basically the same sport as crossminton, but the surface of the courts is sand. All the rules and regulations are the same as regular crossminton. Beachminton tournaments are played outdoors, usually at a beach near the sea, wind-permitting. First international beachminton tournament was played in Berlin, Germany in 2009.
