Noida(Delhi-NCR): The ICO 250 2nd All India International Crossminton Championships- 2019 “All India Open” Powered By Speedminton® took place in Noida (Delhi-NCR) From November 8-10, 2019.
The All India Crossminton Organisation(Regd.)-AICO hosted athletes from 10 ICO registered Clubs (09 from IND & 01 from MRI) for three days to compete for the “ICO 250 2nd All India International Crossminton Championships-2019 (In under 07 Official Categories Male/Female U14/U18 Individuals, Male/Female Adults Individual & Male Adults Double) title.
This is a 2nd edition of ICO official 250 “International Series” 61 Player’s from India & 05 Player’s from Mauritius are took part in said championship.
The sport which was played is called CROSSMINTON and is the fast paced siblings of tennis, squash and badminton. The Indus Valley Public School, Noida (Delhi-NCR) were reserved exclusively for the still somewhat exotic looking trend sports.
The ICO 250 2nd All India Open Powered By Speedminton® is open ICO 250 points tournament this categories is awarded worldwide only four times a year (each country). That is a total number of 66 players participated in seven official categories. The tournament even had Player’s participating for Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chandigarh.
During this Championships India Welcome Mauritius team members Mr. Shameem Elaheebocus (Winner of U18 Male Individual ICO 2000 5th Crossminton World Championships – 2019, at Budapest, Hungary) and Mr. Ramgoolam Hemant K (O50 World 45 Rank) and from the India side Mr. Vikram Datt Sharma (O60 5th in WC19) in Females: U18 Yashika (Rank 21) Paridhi (Rank 32) Ruqaiya & Maryam (Rank 63) and Male U18 Vinit (Rank 31) Ashish Chaudhary (Rank 36) Anurag (Rank 47) and lots of other Indian National’s Player’s have Crossminton World Rankings like Kashif, Piyush, Shailesh, Bilal, Arvind & Abhinav Kumar.
Mr. Ramgoolam (Coach of Phoenix Sports Club, MRI) impressed the Indian Crossminton development and praise the hard work of Founder & Secretary General of AICO Mr. Bilal Ahmad and all the other Boards Member’s positive efforts for the development of Crossminton in India. He said his closing day speech “Really it’s a honour to see you all as a player very well trained, disciplined, hardworking and very much dadicated towards our Crossminton, nice to see your results it’s amazing only one year old Organisation have lots of talent in all categories, really you have great future” also he added line “The tournament is well organised and also showed off many, super exciting games for the spectators. I really look forward to the Indian talent in ICO “World Series” tournaments like upcoming ICO 2000 Asian Championships 2020 in Japan, ICO 1000/500 points 2020 and 6th edition of ICO WC21″.
Mr. Aaley Muhammad Iqbal, President (AICO) is the chief guest of the opening day and guests of honour is Ms. Niharika Singh, Director, Indus Valley Public School, Ms. Shikha Sharma, Principal, Indus Valley Public School, Noida during the opening day all the athlete’s start the march past under their national flags followed by National anthem of MAURITIUS-INDIA and took the oath of “Sportsmanship & the glory of sports, Crossminton game”.
On closing day the chief guest is Mr. Ramgoolam (MRI) and Mr. Vikram Datt Sharma, Sr. Vice President (AICO) & Arbitrator Committee Member, ICO as guest of honor. After the closing ceremony and prize distribution AICO board members and Mauritius, Phoenix Sports Club Player’s enjoy the official dinner host by AICO Founder.
Each participated Player’s got the participation certificate alongwith diploma/merit certificates for the winners with the trophies.
During the Championship our guests “Display” the 3rd All India Open “1st Founder Cup” trophies.
The founder of AICO Bilal Ahmad said “On this year we have started our annually founder’s cup starting from ICO 250 3rd All India International Crossminton Championships-2019 “1st Founder Cup” Powered By Speedminton® at Gaurs International School, Greater Noida (West) Delhi-NCR from December 27-30, 2019. Here we have 03 Indoor Synthetic Full Courts & 01 Indoor Synthetic Court for U12 with more than 06 Outdoor grass courts. The Founder’s Cup going to the best clubs of tournament who won the maximum gold’s (medal tally points) in all categories (one trophie for male overall and one for female overall in once in the year) in future we can shifted this founder’s cup to ICO International Series to ICO World Series Tournaments (like 500 & 1000) and hopefully get some good sponsors and started Prize money tournament s” The AICO Founder said.
